Shadow recovery test
Recovering the shadows (sometimes called fill light, relight, etc) mean brightening them to bring out the details without amplifying the noise. A good recovery shouldn't create unnatural halos, color transitions or destroy the contrast. Only applications with specialized shadow recovery tool were tested. Luminance curve, levels or contrast control is not considered as shadow recovery.
What we are looking at?
The default view shows not processed image - all tools were off. Results of 25% and 100% of the power of shadow recovery are presented. All other tools (like noise reduction, auto levels, ...) were off and white balance was manually set using white card.
